So sad. I live in orange county . I support our firefighters and the OCFA. awesome firefighters and they have been there for me time and time again for me and my son, alot for me health issues. Greatest group of firefighters and so kind to my son when I've had to call for me or for him as they keep him calm and me too.
Shame on the City of Placentia City Council. This is a misguided attempt and will put many citizens in harms way. Support Orange County Fire Authority!..I'm a proud citizen of Anaheim and appreciate all the Fire Department does for our city. Also grandmother of FireFighter/Paramedic in Palm Springs.
Well said. Thank you!
Wish I could have bought my house in Anaheim in 2012! Mr Arrula, you lied to the Citizens of Placentia to have your way. You talked about outside influences and used them yourself and you spoke about no one providing you “sourced data” but never held a workshop for the public because you were afraid of the Orange County Professional Firefighters. I now know the man you truly are! Shame on you! #cityofplacentia #3631 #damienarrula
Isn’t this going back at least 50 years ! Some of our firefighter friends left Placentia in the late 60’s and early 70’s exactly because of the above problems. Some of Anaheim’s finest came from Placentia back in the day !
Such a mistake by both the ill-informed citizens AND city council.
Where are they going to get their equipment? Do they know how much it costs to by apparatus, turn out gear etc. It's not like starting a police dept. It's millions if not 10s of millions to equip and staff and 1 station.
I wonder if they will call Anaheim fire and surrounding cities for mutual aid when IT hits the fan.
