Physical fitness has always been a priority during our career. However, in the last few years there has been an alarming rise in mental health issues. This issue has affected us all in one way or another, and for some, they live with it every day. Today we were visited by two very impactful representatives. Save A Warrior - "SAW" Brian Hagerty and @simplerecoveryrehab Dr. Stephen Odom came to our United Firefighters of Orange County meeting today to discuss the growing concern of 1st responders mental health. Please if anyone out there feels the need or knows someone that could benefit from either of these life saving organizations, call them!
For the last 17 years one of @anaheimfirefighters members has organized a day of fellowship called 12 bars! Typically 2 weeks before Christmas and members from all over are welcome!

Give em hell Rob!

Where are they going to get their equipment? Do they know how much it costs to by apparatus, turn out gear etc. It's not like starting a police dept. It's millions if not 10s of millions to equip and staff and 1 station.

Dolores Nataly Navarro

Matty Gross crazy

Yeah we need to repeal this

Well said. Thank you!

I wonder if they will call Anaheim fire and surrounding cities for mutual aid when IT hits the fan.

Such a mistake by both the ill-informed citizens AND city council.

Shame on the City of Placentia City Council. This is a misguided attempt and will put many citizens in harms way. Support Orange County Fire Authority!..I'm a proud citizen of Anaheim and appreciate all the Fire Department does for our city. Also grandmother of FireFighter/Paramedic in Palm Springs.

So sad. I live in orange county . I support our firefighters and the OCFA. awesome firefighters and they have been there for me time and time again for me and my son, alot for me health issues. Greatest group of firefighters and so kind to my son when I've had to call for me or for him as they keep him calm and me too.

Julie Carlson Stefan Flow Gooseman

Isn’t this going back at least 50 years ! Some of our firefighter friends left Placentia in the late 60’s and early 70’s exactly because of the above problems. Some of Anaheim’s finest came from Placentia back in the day !
